Weekend of March 20,21

Warm weather this weekend. Yahoo.... Mom and I visited the Warwick Park and French Creek park on Saturday. I liked going in the water after Mom threw a stick in the lake on my long leash. Klea came over on Sunday and we played in the backyard. Mom got the wading pool out too and cooled us off. I had a fun weekend and then Day care tomorrow. I love all the activities.

EXCITING WEEKEND IN THE POCONOS

Long weekend with old mom in Poconos. Our new dishwasher was delivered and I got tied outside so the workman could do his work in the kitchen. I got the patio door open and went inside and scared the workman and he hid behind the dishwasher. It was so funny that I just stared at him and didn't growl. He was yelling for old mom to come get me. Now guess what - I am locked outside and can't get the door open. It was so funny - a grown man scared of me!!!

I am so bad.....Then later we went on a walk and a little cocker spaniel dog(like the one above) came running at me and the owner went crazy because the dog wouldn't come to her and she couldn't get the dog to behave. I actually didn't even realize what was happenning because old mom was hiding my face in her legs and doing a body block so I wouldn't see the dog. I wasn't barking or acting mean at all until that little dog growled at me and then I growled back. I wish people would tie up their dogs or at least be able to control them.

I was on my leash and behaving and the other owner was not following the rules.
What's a dog to do.... when other dogs growl in their faces...

I also got in the trash which I never do at home but old mom left the lid loose and I opened the door so I figured - why not the trash can? Mom didn't like me doing that and she smacked me on my butt. I guess she was mad. We are friends again.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

I have been a busy dog after Christmas. A walk with my sisters on the Struble Trail with Khlea and Dexter. ( my dog buddies) A trip to the Poconos for a week with my two moms and Khlea and some cold walks wearing my new coat. I am a lucky dog and have everything I want. A warm coat, 2 loving moms and a nice home with food and a place to sleep. I guess - I am luckier than some people in our country.

WEEKEND WALKS IN THE RAIN AND THE SUN

Mom and I took long walks this weekend. We crossed over Rte 100 - very scary and walked to Whitford Road passing many cars and some people. I did my " King of the Rock" trick and then on Sunday, we had a great walk on the trail they are working on in East Whiteland. We saw a real deer that crossed in front of us and I nearly ran with the deer again. We got muddy and had fun. Mom says " a tired dog is a happy dog". I say "I am happy already" Enjoy the photos.

ACE, KHLEA and DEXTER

Ace and Khlea meet my sister's JUG. A combination of a Jack Russell puppy and a pug puppy.

His name is Dexter and he has some sharp puppy teeth but he is so small, I don't know how to play with him without hurting him. Here are pictures of us in Marsh Creek on a walk. Everybody made a fuss over the puppy and forgot to say anything about Khlea and me.

WEEKEND IN THE COLD AND ICY POCONOS

My moms took me to the Poconos and on a long hike in the woods. Very snowy and icy trail and I slipped a few times. My old mom thought I could pull her on the ice - what does she think - I am an eskimo dog. I ignored her and eventually she scooted across the ice. I didn't wear my coat and it was really cold. I love sitting by the fireplace and sleeping not hiking in the cold woods.

When will they learn? Dumb humans!

WEEKEND ADVENTURES

I chewed on my toys- I love purple slippers because my old mom has many pairs. I also did several long walks and practiced my skills. The weather was warm and everything was muddy and not icy so I went on some long walks with my moms. Played on the playground and went down the slide, played with a ball, jumped over a barrier there. "Jump" is my new skill. I also played King of the hill on a rock. Here are some photos of my fun times. Graduation of 1st grade is tomorrow nite. Wish me luck on the stay command.

EXCITING WEEKEND

My old mom took me on a car ride to do her errands. We went to the car wash and the attendants wouldn't let us get out of the car so we rode through the car wash. This was the coolest car ride - all the brushes and sprays coming at the car and then 3 guys were drying off the windows and looking at us & smiling.

We both felt so special!

Then we went on a long walk in Marsh Creek State Park on the bike trail. The lake was frozen and people were ice skating, ice fishing and just sliding around on the lake. The only scary part was that there was a hunter in the woods with us and he had a gun. I watched him carefully.
My moms also let me stay in the house during their movie night out and shopping trip. I was a good boy and didn't chew anything or get in the trash. Maybe I won't have to stay in the basement at all soon. I love to sleep on the bed, the recliner or the sofa.

TIRED OF PEOPLE SAYING I AM "JUST A PITBULL"...

I can count on my paw the times in my short life that I have been looked down on because of my breed. My owner and I are getting fed up with it.
Let me tell you about the events so you will think first before you say something about me.
1. Puppy K incident: the instructor said to the owner of a Jack Russell puppy- " Now you can tell everyone your puppy played with a pit bull" . Another time she said " I would be hard to train because I am a pit bull" . The instructor needs to judge me and not my breed. I would like to spray her with her "Bad dog" water bottle!
2. At Hickory Run State park -a family walked past (parents and 2 children) my owner and I were on the trail and the kids asked what kind of dog I was and my owner said proudly "a pit bull". The mother said "Oh.. in a negative tone and said quietly to the kids " to keep moving"
3. At a park in West Goshen, a owner walking her small dog towards us , abruptly turned and went the other way when she saw me and my owner calmly walking near the playground. She also gave me the look that I didn't belong there.
4. My owner was telling a friend on the phone that she slept with me every night and the person said " Is that safe?"
My owner is great and reassures me every day -"that I am a good boy" and " pitbulls have a bad reputation and it is the owners that are bad not the breed."

I am getting so frustrated that I want to WOOF LOUDLY that "pitbulls are nice dogs too". Give me a chance to get to know you.

A SLEEPY DAY

My obsessive mom took these photos of me and insisted that I put them on my blog or she wouldn't give me my milkbones. Bribery will get her what she wants. You don't bite the hands that feed you. These photos are so embarassing but I am tired today after playing so much at Puppy 1st grade last night with Reilly and Murphy. My old mom also had me doing 10,000 steps with her today so I am dog tired. Nighty Night!!

A NEW YEAR 2009- 8 MONTHS OLD

A long walk in Ridley Creek State Park. I ran with my sister full speed. I played with my friend Sadie and I am tired. I drank cold water out of creek and saw many dogs, people and bikers. I saw a great Dane that was the size of a small pony. I don't want to meet up with him on a dark night. He was one big scary dude!

A Lazy Day for me

My older sister, Christy took me on a walk around the neighborhood and it was really fun. I took a small walk with my younger MOM but didn't go far. When my real mom got home she took me out in our yard and it was full moon and very nice night. The wind was blowing and it looked like it was going to rain. I teased my mom and chewed on the leash and played tug of war. Finally we went inside and settled in on my MOms' bed. She wanted to chill so I laid down and fell a sleep early.
Hope for a long walk tonight through the weeds and in streams and see some other dogs, etc.

A walk around the lake

Tonight I walked my 10,000 steps around a lake and drank out of a stream. Heard many birds and chased after some. Saw two deer in the woods and stared at them. They are bigger than me.
Went to a playground and walked up the steps on play gym and over a wierd bridge with my owner after she forced me to go over it. I don't like my collar pulled but I did the walk with her.
I wonder where I will go tonight.
