EXCITING WEEKEND IN THE POCONOS

Long weekend with old mom in Poconos. Our new dishwasher was delivered and I got tied outside so the workman could do his work in the kitchen. I got the patio door open and went inside and scared the workman and he hid behind the dishwasher. It was so funny that I just stared at him and didn't growl. He was yelling for old mom to come get me. Now guess what - I am locked outside and can't get the door open. It was so funny - a grown man scared of me!!!

I am so bad.....Then later we went on a walk and a little cocker spaniel dog(like the one above) came running at me and the owner went crazy because the dog wouldn't come to her and she couldn't get the dog to behave. I actually didn't even realize what was happenning because old mom was hiding my face in her legs and doing a body block so I wouldn't see the dog. I wasn't barking or acting mean at all until that little dog growled at me and then I growled back. I wish people would tie up their dogs or at least be able to control them.

I was on my leash and behaving and the other owner was not following the rules.
What's a dog to do.... when other dogs growl in their faces...

I also got in the trash which I never do at home but old mom left the lid loose and I opened the door so I figured - why not the trash can? Mom didn't like me doing that and she smacked me on my butt. I guess she was mad. We are friends again.

WEEKEND WALKS IN THE RAIN AND THE SUN

Mom and I took long walks this weekend. We crossed over Rte 100 - very scary and walked to Whitford Road passing many cars and some people. I did my " King of the Rock" trick and then on Sunday, we had a great walk on the trail they are working on in East Whiteland. We saw a real deer that crossed in front of us and I nearly ran with the deer again. We got muddy and had fun. Mom says " a tired dog is a happy dog". I say "I am happy already" Enjoy the photos.

SELF PUBLISHED BOOKS ABOUT ACE AND KHLEA

My old mom is working on two books and self publishing them. One will be a childrens' book and one for teens or adults. The teens book will contain all the raunchy stuff I have done. The R rated version of my life. They will have ISBN numbers and will be on sale at Amazon. The puparazzi will be on our tails. My mom also has already done self portraits of Khlea and I for posters and marketing items. You are the first to know about all this. Tell the world so our fans will buy our books. I have a friend now to play with and it is fun most of the time. At dinners, we fight because we both like to eat but most of the time we play nicely and don't get sprayed by mom and the "the bad dog spray" or the hose.

EAUDIOBOOKS ,OVERDRIVE AND MORE

I am playing on my moms’ laptop again and found out I could listen to books and watch videos. I read through the Overdrive PDF files and downloaded the Overdrive Media Console. I used her library card to download a couple of books to listen to and also downloaded a video to watch. I listened to Marley and Me by John Grogan and watched a video "King of Ants" about football. I also practiced downloading my eaudiobook to an MP3 using Windows Media Player.

LEARNING NEW TRICKS BEFORE I AM AN OLD DOG

I have been "nosing around the Internet"

Technorati is an Internet search engine for searching blogs by looking at tags that authors have placed on their blogs. Try to find a lost dog without dog tags? Impossible. Try to find an Internet blog that is not tagged. I created a Technorati account and chained my dog(OOPS A DOG-ian slip- I mean "claimed my blog").

On the Technorati website- You will get a different search if you search Posts, Blogs, Photos and Videos because there are several different kinds of tags.

Popular blogs are ones with the most fans and Popular searches are the keywords that were used the most.

Delicious (formerly del.icio.us) is a social bookmarking web service for storing, sharing, and discovering web bookmarks. Social bookmarking is a method for Internet users to store, organize, search, and manage bookmarks. I created an account on this site and put my bookmarks on their site. Now I am able to access them from any dog house I visit.

I used some techie sites to make tags and categories on my side bar for my blog. Not a very easy task for the average dog but I am special dog.

RUFF-view of Marley & Me by Ace

I thought about my first audio book all weekend. Marley and me are alot alike in many areas.

Marley strolled like a runaway locomotive. He veered left and right and circled around owners and wrapped his leash around us. He wanted to make friends with all other dogs. He loved life. He lived for company of other animals or people. He did full skids on our wood floors

Marley was a funny bad dog with a good heart and was a good friend. The dog that touched our lives. He was wild and strong and he crashed his way through life. He had touched our soles ( he loves to chew & swallow socks and shoes) and living each day to the fullest and appreciated the simple things. Taught me how to be a good loyal friend. Loyalty, courage and emotion were important not the material things. Marley had given us a gift of complete love.

I wish people were more like dogs and just judged each other on personality and not on looks and what they own or drive or wear etc. I also want to live life to the fullest and be a loyal good friend to my moms. I will live by these words "enjoy the moment"

I hope my moms say "I am a great dog someday." I want them to read the book " No Bad dogs" by Barbara Woodhouse.

THE DAY AFTER- NOW I AM A “FIXED COOL DUDE” !

My moms picked me up from the doc last night and I was so happy to see them. The drugs were still working. They got this cream named “Yuk” to apply to my stitched area and it tastes terrible.

I walk a little different now - I have a cool dog strut. I am going to “chill in my crib” with the cone on my head for awhile and take it easy! I am on the cover of the magazine “Bad Bad Dog- What ya going do..” – read the article for more information about my experience.

I told my obsessive mom that I would bite her if she took a photo of me with my cone head.
She knows not to mess with the new “Bad Bad Dog” RUFF!

“My BFMs” also bought me a new black studded leather collar.

Next Tuesday 11/11

Old Mom said I am going to be “fixed” next Tuesday. I tried to explain that I wasn’t broken and didn’t need to be “fixed” but she didn’t laugh.

I am going to hide up here for awhile and maybe she will forget about it.

Learning New skills

My old Mom was telling me all about Learning 2.0 and Web 2.0. -she found 2 neat articles which I like. http://www.techsource.ala.org/blog/2008/03/teaching-a-dog-new-tricks.html- “Teaching a dog new tricks” and http://jackrussell51.blogspot.com/2008/02/web-20-or-library-20.html - "Jack's Life" My thoughts are: Learning new technology and discovering new methods of communication is similar to the methods that humans use in training their dogs. You start out learning to sit then you learn to lie down then you learn to do doggie pushups. Social networking is similar to my playing with all the puppies at Puppy Kindegarten.
Maybe I can introduce these new ideas to my 6 old cats that live with me and this photo will be me and one of them. I will try my new communication skills on them.....Wish me luck... I will need it...

Puppy Kindegarten - 7th week

I had practice for my graduation. Had to do doggy situp, leave it and wait and come to my Moms. I did pretty good but was distracted by all other dogs watching me.
