BACK HOME AND CHASING THE CATS

I am home after a stay at Killens Pond State Park with Khlea and her family. Had a great time there. Good food and saw my darling Khlea who had a hurt leg so I kissed her alot. She rode home with us in the truck. We shared the front seat for a while and then I was a gentleman and went to the back seat. I am chasing the cats again and glad I am home. Maybe I will go to Toby's Day Care tomorrow. Saw Melissa and was so excited.

IN VIRGINIA BEACH

I got another compliment from a camper from Exeter,PA and he said Mom should write a book about me. Mom said she has... and I have ablog too. Mom lost her glasses in Outerbanks KOA- her glass case fell out of her purse and she picked up her case but no glasses. She called the office and they found them and it just so happens that one of their employees is coming to this Virginia Beach KOA that we are at and he will deliver them to us tonight or tomorrow. Amazing.... Mom was very happy. She had to go to grocery store and get one of those cheap pairs so she could get on Internet and see the words. See ya soon all my PA friends soon. Weekend will be in Delaware with Sharon, my young mom and Khlea, my best friend dog and there will be no wifi. Our RV trip is almost over and we will be home soon.... Yahoo... no chains - a fenced in yard. The K9 Kamp was fun here and Mom gave me a long walk.

COLD AND WINDY.. IN OUTERBANKS

Mom saw some neat things today: Drive Thru Beer Distributor, A Food Bank called "Lifeboat", and a beautiful house named "The Rose with a pink rose painted on it."(reminded me of Rosie, one of mom's bff) She also found a place she used to stay with her family 30 years ago and Sharon and Brian were here when babies. Different name but still there in Nags head. Nags Head is alot different now- not sure Mom wants to coome back. I saw lighthouses and a big dune too and lots of water. I slept through most of it.

NORTH CAROLINA ADVENTRURES

Yesterday we stayed in Hubert,NC and 2 dogs almost came in our camper's screen door to get me. Not very friendly. Mom grabbed my prong collar to keep me from going through screen door to meet them after they got in my space. Hurt Mom's hand... Today on our way to Outerbanks - " Ace's stop and shop"- a gift shop - cute name. it's sign had a deck of cards on it.
It is so windy here - my ears are blowing up and look silly- I need a hoodie. The sand gets me all excited and I jump around and play.... Mom thinks it is funny. Staying near the ocean so it is super windy and cold. My ears are flying up - how embarassing.

BEACH PATROL

Mom and I were on beach patrol today at Huntington Beach State Park and also visited Murrells Inlet. I was watching the little sandpipers and big gulls. The K9 kamp at this KOA is great- I did the tunnel and the jumps. I got told I was a handsome dog today again. No wonder my prong collar is tight on my big inflated head.

MYRTLE BEACH VISIT

Mom and I are staying at a KOA with a K9 Kamp for me- it includes jump, a house and a tunnel and more. It was fun- Mom will take photos tomorrow. The site is big enough for me to walk around and weather is cool and not hot. I am happy. Walked on beach today and know now not to drink the yucky salty water. Will explore again tomorrow.

Staying at same campground I did on the way down. The office girl remembers the good looking dog not me. Ace definitely gets all the attention. I actually got tv stations here now with Donna's procedure for the tv. Thanks..... The ducks are still here and Ace noticed. Rainy all day- I do not like driving the rv in the rain. stressful.

EXPLORING THE GEORGIA ISLANDS

Explored the Jekyll Island and St Simon Island- walked on/near the beach. The driftwood was all over the beach- really neat. A Bulldog statue was at visitor center and remiinded me of Melissa's dog Logan. It was painted with blue and fish- really cool. Tomorrow going to South Carolina- on the road again.

I explored a local park and fishing pier. They have cats and squirrels here and nice big dogs to growl at. Mom is in bad mood today so I have to kiss her and make her feel better. She just needs a good night sleep. She drove too many miles today and is homesick.

SPRING BREAK

It is spring break down here. Saw many teenagers in Cocoa Beach. I can't go on the beaches so I just see them coming from the beach. I sit in the car while Mom goes and takes pictures or get supplies at Walmart. She got me a chew bone today and I think she saved one for later if I am good. I played a joke on her last night - I laid on the remote and she was looking for it all over and saying bad words. Ah Ha.....

MALABAR,FL

The wifi connection is terrible so no photos on my blog. No shade again and no pool or lake. Only staying here 2 days to get laundry done and some exploring. Mom has to check on our itinerary. Going to Georgia next. Some big dogs here and they are cuties. Golden retreiver in red harness. Some guy wanted to know if I was going to breed becasue he wanted a puppy that looks like me. Mom had to tell him - I was fixed. But we told him to go to rescue and maybe he would find a dog looking like me. He was a nice young man who loved pit bulls. He said it was good that I was out at parks and walking near people and getting social. He hates dog fighting and wants to do the right thing with his pit bull.

FT LAUDERDALE VISIT

Campsite in Ft Lauderdale is pretty disorganized and quite stressful. Gave us new site with wrong electric hook up so we asked for new one and this one was impossible to back into. After looking for part Mom decided we needed a drive through or leave. We got the new site and then the 40 ft rig wanted our site and was virtually on our site too and we had to rush to our new site. Very stressful... Needed some beers to... calm down and relax.

EVERGLADES VISIT

I visited the Everglades- a hot swampy place with many birds,alligators, panthers and snakes. I sniffed alot of strange things and it was hot and humid. I could not go on any trails but Mom took me along anyway and always parked in shaded area, gave me water and windows were open.

MY DAY IN THE OCEAN AT SOMBERO BEACH

I got to swim in the ocean with my mom and some fish. It really was cool and I enjoyed it. Very sandy and coral there was sharp on my feet. I also visited the Blue Hole and there was an alligator then so Mom immediately put me in the car. It was also a deer refuge and she was afraid I would get the scent and run with the deer. Mom then went to " No Name Pub" dor dinner and I stayed in the truck with windows open and water and food. Exciting day- I am a worn out boy now.

DUVAL STREET WAS HOT... AND CROWDED

Mom and Donna toook me on Duval Street but I was good. Very hot and lots of distractions- other dogs, bicycles,motorcycles, mimi cars, scooters and wierd sounds like blenders, people talking and yelling etc. We alos walked on a pier and ate Haagan daas ice cream. I ate with them at Schooners Wharf... there the pidgeons were a distraction to me. But I tried to be good.

I like this campsite- shade and trees. Some family is here and their little boy wants to play with me. I would rather not. Mom will have to watch and make sure the little guy bikes and plays with his brother and parents and not me. Went to Curry Hammock State park which is real close and has kayaks to rent and beautiful area- well kept and clean area.

I was going to Miami Ink today to get a tattoo but no dogs allowed. I am tired of not being allowed to do things. Found a beach where I could walk in the soft sand and see the beautiful ocean and people having fun para-sailing and playing in the ocean. I am dog tired and going to bed- had enough excitement for one day.

MOM'S FRIEND FROM PA

A visitor from PA came to explore Florida with us. We went to some beaches yesterday and then Mom and Donna ate at a fancy seafood restaurant and I slept in the cool shaded car. The parking guy made sure I was OK and gave me a biscuit. He was a nice guy. Today we are going to Miami and explore the area. it is cool and breezy right now. We all slept good in the rv- I shared my space.

VERY HOT AND NO SHADE

I almost passed out -so hot. I ate grass so I got sick of course. Mom forced me to go in rv for rest and cool air. I am feeling better. Mom also needed a rest from the heat. Drove Alligator alley but no alligator sightings. Almost ran out of gas but finally found a place- that GPS is a life saver for us. All checked in at rv site and set up. Ft Lauderdale is a hot place. Will go out later.

This campground is not as friendly as the others. No-one says hi to me or mom. All I see are small yippy french poodles and puffy dogs. Airplanes are going over all the time. No good eating places around here or any grocery stores - just office buildings.

LAST DAY in FT MYERS

It was so hot today- I crawled under the rv for shade and to lay in cool sand. Mom took me to a off the leash beach but it smelled like a swamp. Some dogs were misbehaving and fighting and mom decided I didn't need all that excitement. I got sand all over mom's truck. We got caught in a traffic jam and it was boring. I didn't do much today- just chillin in my crib. Mom got a grill to cook hamburgers and hot dogs on so I think I will have some good meals soon. Dry food gets boring. I am checking out the neighbors tonight but being friendly in the process- not barking at them just staring. I had a tick near my eye today - mom tried to wipe it away but she had to grab and pull it off. I have 3 collars on now and look really bad.... my regular collar, my prong collar and my shock collar. People are scared just looking at me

Some really cute dogs here- they are good looking florida babes. I am resting up - just looking at all of them makes the eyes tired. I am chilling in my crib right now and Mom went to the pool to chill. We saw a lighthouse today and the beach so I sniffed and tasted the gulf water - not that great. Spring water is better and colder please. I am a pampered guy you know.

FT MYERS FLORIDA FOR 4 DAYS

My chain is wrapped 4 times around the picnic table 4 times. I can walk maybe 4 feet and back. The neighbors are right out our back door- can't help but get to know them. Mom took me to a dog walk area and I did my business. The heat is really wearing me out so I don't mind not moving too much. Mom went to the swimming pool and cooled off and I stayed in the rv with the fans on. We didn't do much today- it was 2 pm by the time we arrived then Mom had to hook everything up.

HOT DAY in FLA

Mom left me in rv and went shopping on a hot day and she turned the fan too cold so I was shivering when she got back. I just went outside and got thawed out. It didn't take long.
Then I wiggled out of my chain and it took her a while to notice- but I didn't go away- I know no-one here - I just stood there and stared at her. She was doing her Soduko puzzle. She looked so worried when she noticed and I felt so loved. Going to see Molly tonight- I miss my Khlea- she makes my tail wag and she knows how to play rough and have fun.

LITTLE DOGS DON'T LIKE ME

For some reason - little dogs don't like me. I can understand why Molly growls at me- she is protecting her turf and family. I do the same thing. Little Tommy is very friendly but again he is protecting his Mom. But a little dog got away from her owner and came charging at me. I didn't even realize what was happenning but Mom did. She yanked me up on her chest so my face was in her face and the little dog was down around my legs. Mom was so worried about what would happen if I hurt the little dog. I was just wondering what my crazy mom was doing? No disaster so we continued our walk around the neighborhood and the lady got her dog back safely. I walked 10,000 steps and am a tired big dog. it is hot in Florida.

SWAM IN A LAKE THAT HAS ALLIGATORS IN IT

Molly and I and our owners waded in Lake Louisa in the nearby State Park. Cool clear not deep water... I had so much fun in the sand and water. I also took a nature walkin the rv park.... Rested in the rv in the fan and watched all the people, golfcarts and other dogs. No goats here.

I met a dog named Molly and Tommy today. Tommy was very friendly and wanted to touch noses with me. He is a male so I don't know about him. Molly is a cute little dog and I like her but all she does is growl at me. Oh well tomorrow we will go swimming in a lake without alligators and have a good time. Mom is so worried about me biting some people or other dogs but I am being good. I am tired - it is so warm down here. My nose is sunburnt. I need SPF 30.

Visited Blue Spring State Park in Orange City and saw manatees. I was a good boy around all the people and other dogs. Mom did errands and I got a new toy to play with. Didn't see the loose goat at the campsite but so those damn squirrels.

DOG FRIENDLY BEACHES

Mom found some dog-friendly parks and we walked on the beach. Also saw the tallest lighthouse in FL and I actually walked in the ocean and saw jelly fish, goats, squirrels, cats and other dogs. This campsite has the GOATS in the photo. I was a good dog and didn't bark. I only whined at the squirrels. Kids want to pet me and Mom always says No- and the parents understand. Met some people from PA in Ponce Inlet point park. They were leaving tomorrow and disappointed they didn't have more warm weather.

Mom drove 6 hours today and she is grumpy and tired and so am I. We are in Orange City about 20 miles from Daytona Beach which has Biker week coming up. The visitor center gave out orange juice but Mom wanted a screwdriver instead. The campground lots are so small here that if someone gets next door- I won't have anywhere to get tied out. I will be in their yard. Th motorcycles that are in the campground are loud and annoying so I am glad we are not in Daytona. No photos today. Mom saw a raccoon in a tree top but I didn't. Took us almost 2 weeks to get here. It is warm but not hot- clear blue sky was so pretty - looked like one of Mom's paintings. Good night.

A GREAT SUNNY DAY IN GA

It was a nice day here. Mom and I sat outside in sun near Fort Ave. and several cars and a neighbor stopped and commented how handsome I was. I just whined at them and looked cute at mom. She was disappointed they didn't think she was pretty. Tomorrow we are on the road to FL. We got dinner at Spanky's seafood- Mom didn't share ... she gave me a biscuit. The pier in Tybee Island and pavillion were cool. Mom also did a new drawing.

Is that a song? I was in the road this morning- just the campsite road and the golfcart annoying man yelled at mom to keep me out of the road.OOPs ,mom. Mom bought me a shorter chain today and a long one for other campsites. She also bought me a orange ball- already chewed a hole in it. Went to Savannah, the beach and Skiddaway Island state park. I was looking for alligators and snakes and turtles there- really looked swampy. There was a turtle on a surf board on one deck in Tybee Island and the funny turtle signs all over the island.

MOM IS HAVING A BAD DAY

I think Mom should stay in the rv for the rest of the day. Green tea pitcher leaked all over rv and she also took her first shower in rv so she didn't know if it was a water leak or what? She noticed it after she was setting up rv. Went to office and Rick came to investigate. Could be either one of those things. Also she needed to buy regulator for water and sewer connector. She also almost lost her keys. She also had a tummy ache. Is that 3 things? Yes it is. Dogs are not allowed on beach - a fine of $200-1000. Mom found a dog park for 20 lbs or less dog.... I pretended to be skinny... no other dog there anyway. We are chillin in our crib right now. Georgia is sunny and warm but windy. I saw alot of dogs in the rv park and a horse carriage in Savannah. By the way we are staying in Tybee Island, Georgia. This place has classes from 7-9 tonight and tomorrow - tonight -Computers and tomorrow- Art. Mom may go.... she needs to have her space and so do I

I walked near the Charleston harbor trail and then Mom was trying to find a Walmart to do some shoppping and she went to Edisto Island and went past A FUNNY NAMED STREET (SOGGY BOTTOM STREET) She took a pee in the woods just like me. Mom got an air mattress for the bed and now it is at least 3 feet off the ground. I will practice jumping up. The ducks are all over the campground - I was good and didn't bark. The neighbor's dog came at me and I started growling and then got shocked by my collar. I got saved by mom. I ate at a wave and enjoyed the sand. I saw ducks and turkeys too in the campsite. I am tired and hogging mom's bed. All this fresh air wears me out.

SOUTH CAROLINA TRAVELS - 4 DAYS

I broke my chain today this morning in NC and just stood there so Mom got me. I got a big hug from Mom and 2 biscuits. While riding in the truck for 4-5 hours, I discovered the back seat is much more comfortable for sleeping than the front seat. My new campsite neighbor has a white pit bull ( a real cutie) and another brown puppy with a hurt leg. It is warmer here but it is like a swamp. Raining all day... Yuck.Going to bed early tonite and exploring Charleston tomorrow.

RAINY IN NC

Mom and I explored the area today. I hate ran- and didn't get out of my seat much. I saw 5 deer in Carolina Beach State Park and wanted to run with them again.... barked at them and they were afraid. I also barked at the sea gulls- big birds. Now I am resting after a long truck ride. I stole some of Mom's onion rings while she was taking a potty break. She didn't get mad - just gave me the look. She loves writing in her purple journal about our adventures.

NORTH CAROLINA ADVENTURES

Mom and I are now in Wilmington, NC- we are going to explore the beaches tomorrow. We have wireless and tv at our campsite and not so many cats and no horses. No snow but not too warm yet. Still have heat on in the camper. I am used to riding in the car- front seat on my blue blanket and mom got dog biscuits for me if I am good. Mom has found that churches have big parking lots and no problem when she has to turn the camper around so we stopped at two today for breaks. She also says a prayer for a safe journey. I hog the bed and mom and I wake up more often. Tonite we will watch a movie and have a snack.

ACE'S TRAVELS IN VIRGINIA

Mom and I are in an rv camping through the southern states. Looking for warm weather so far I rode in a police car last night near Dismal Swamp and military police searched our car near Fort Story/ Little Creek lighthouses. I barked and growled at them - had to protect Mom. This all happenned near Chesapeake, Virginia. Mom also had to visit the Chesapeake Central Library to update my blog. It was a huge library and they even had a bookmobile. Fun stuff. I also barked at a horse statue. Kinda dumb.. Saw horses, cats and other stuff at campsite. Ran after one of the damn cats and scared Mom.
Left Thursday for North Carolina.

MY NO BARK COLLAR

Mom got me a no- bark collar - it sprays me with lemon citrus spray when I bark.
You know what happenned- Khlea barked and I got sprayed.... now that just isn't right.
I told Khlea to shut her mouth and don't bark. Funny huh.....

Khlea has a shock no-bark collar and it is bad... she shakes after she gets shocked. I don'tlike those kind. Mom and I are going on a RV trip to Florida and she wants the campsite to be quiet for our neighbors. I guess that is OK.

I AM A LUCKY DOG

Mom came home today and gave me big hugs. She told me I was a lucky dog to be loved so much.
She is going to volunteer at a dog rescue place so she can give her time to those dogs who need love and hugs too. I wish I could help her but that would just stir them all up and they would bark and carry on. She and I are going to travel to Florida and keep a journal on Facebook and on this blog.
Watch for our journeys with our RV. On the road again!!

Khlea and Alex are here today and Alex is now reaching for our tails. He also is sitting up and talking. We try to kiss him and Mom says " no licky licky". She tends to repeat everything. He has toys too that Khlea and I would love to chew on but she won't let us. Alex is 6 months old today.

Mom is home all the time now. She was laid off after 22 years of working at library. I am still going to Toby's K9 Kamp and I see Khlea all the time. Alex visits a lot too. Mom is also starting to write again. Yeah - a new story on me- a Children's book for Alex. Enjoy the new photos.

MOM IS GOING TO VEGAS ...

My moms are going to Vegas and I am going to Wagsworth manor for 5 1/2 days. I am going to go swimming in a pool, get special treats and will be trained by Julie - maybe I will do the agility course ( the tunnel, jumps and dog walk) and surprise my mom with a new skill or two. Remember.....What happens in Wagsworth stays in Wagsworth... my lips are sealed. Have a good vacation and don't worry about me. I will have fun... you have fun too.

DAY CARE - 2 places

I am so lucky- I am going to 2 days at different day care places. Monday - I go to Toby's K9 Kamp and Wednesday- I go to Wagsworth Manor. My first day at Wagsworth was yesterday. Mom got an e-mail during the day to let her know - I was doind OK. She was as nervous as I was at a new place. I also got a report card. Here is what it said " Ace's first day with our play group simply was fantastic!" Ryan- my handler helped me to make new friends.

I made three- Riley - a female boxer, Hollywood- a female English boxer and Lucky , a male Lab mix. I also went swimming with Max and Rocky. I was a little scared of the steps in the pool but I loved swimming once I was got in the water.

I want to go back next Wednesday.

Busy week for me

Two day cares- Monday at Toby's K9 Kamp and Wednesday at Wagsworth Manor.
Thursdays and Fridays - I usually play all day with Khlea - my best pal. I had a visit to the vet last week for all my shots and Mom had to muzzle me again. I don't like the vet - she always sticks with needles. Noone would like that? Mom held me and said - everything was all right then we went home. I was so happy to be at home again. I like my home and feel so lucky to have a good master. I kiss her every morning to wake her up!!!

Busy summer with my new nephew and grandchild to mom

I guess Alex ( Sharon's baby) has become number 1 now. Khlea and I have been playing together every weekend and are great friends. We help grandma babysit Alex. We bark when he cries in case she doesn't hear him. He smells good and we lick his feet. Enjoy the photos. Khlea and I like to steal his pacifier and bottles when his grandma and mom forget to put them out of our reach.
Khlea has eaten about 4 so far.

I am still going to Day Care at Toby's once a week and will start more agility classes in the fall.
Mom gave me a shower last night so I smell good today.

AGILITY CLASSES AT WAGSWORTH

I graduated beginner agility classes at Wagsworth Manor with Julie. Louie the other dog- graduated too. We got a certificate with our names on it. I learned to go through the tunnel, do the jumps ( tire jump and regular), the dog walk, A frame and now we are starting to learn the teeter totter and put all our obstacles together and do more than one at a time off the leash.

Mom bought some equipment so we can practice at home doing some of the things. It is fun and Mom gets tired too running with me. Next class starts in 3 weeks.

This is how I relax when I get home. I am dog tired.

Khlea and I have a new baby friend named Alex. He was born 4 days ago. He is only 7 1/2 pounds and 21 inches. He is very tiny and we have to be careful not to jump up on young mom when she is holding him or we might hurt him. Khlea has seen him but I haven't. Old mom is really excited about her new grandchild. Khlea is sleeping over at our house for awhile so I have to share my space with her. This is what Khlea and I do on hot days - we lay around preferably in front of a fan.

I have been busy waiting for my young mom to deliver her baby. A little boy - I will be an uncle.
I have also had 2 classes of beginner agility at Wagsworth Manor. I have learned the jump, the dog walk, the tunnel, the table and started on the teeter totter. I like pleasing my mom and making her happy and she smiles alot and gives me treats and kisses when I do good. I like it too if it wasn't so hot - I wouldn't get so tired. I sure Mom will take pictures soon of me doing these new tricks.

BUSY MONTH OF MAY

My young mom is going to have a baby any day now. A little boy named "Alex" I can't wait to see him and neither can old mom. That is all she talks about. I love to go outside and play in the muddy back yard and my white neck has become grey. So guess who got a bath and then a new collar and frontline stuff? Me... I look great - a handsome devil even if I must say so myself. Here is a video of how wound up I was after my bath.

Last night was my first Agility class. I like Wagsworth Manor and class was fun. I jumped over the jumps and walked the plank and heeled my mom. I will practice with mom and learn more stuff. Maybe I will lose some inches around my waist too. My butt looks big.

My 2nd birthday is this month. Happy Birthdog(day) to me. I love my life - I have a nice family and Khlea is there for me. I take car trips to Petsmart and on errand and to the Poconos and back. I go to Day care once a week and next week I am starting agility training which should be fun for mom and me. I am a lucky pampered dog.

The hot weather is getting to me this year - it is 60 degrees out and nice and then 80 degrees and hot the next day. I love my bed and the fan running while I sleep. I also love to cuddle pillows anywhere - on the sofa or on my bed. Aren't I cute!!!! I am in touch with my feminine side.

Mom doesn't need a mower for the backyard, Khlea and I are keeping it pretty mowed. There is hardly any grass left but plenty of our toys and chewed up things. Actually it probably looks ugly to our neighbors. Maybe I will gather up our stuff and put it in special place. Mom will need to throw some grass seed around so we don't get so muddy when it rains.

WARM WEEKEND IN THE POCONOS

Warm weekend in the Poconos. Mom and I left and went up Wednesday night and stayed until Monday. She had a lot of work to do. She washed the decks, emptied the hot tub and painted chairs. Dan, Sharon and Melissa came for a visit too. I got to play with Khlea and played tug of war and chased her around the house. I went on walks with Dan and Sharon and watched Khlea run with Melissa. I saw deer in the back yard and rubbed in their stuff before Mom could catch me.

Mom outsmarted me. She vacummed the rug with a water bottle in one hand aimed at me and the vacuum in the other. I hate that water bottle. I always like to attack, bark at and bite the vacuum. It looks like a monster to me.

Dan was my favorite person this weekend. He hated me to lick him so I always snuck up on him and sneeked one on the leg or on his arm when he was half asleep then he would wrestle me and rough house. He is fun!!!

Khlea and I love to play in the backyard with all our tug of war toys. I usually pull Khlea around in circles. We also visited Kerr Park and posed in front of this wierd tangled tree. I did some swimming in the Brandywine. That tennis ball kept floating down stream but I got it and brought it back to old mom. I wondered why there weren't any dogs around and as we were ready to leave I saw a "No Dogs" Sign. Oops..... Oh well I am not a dog anyway.

Warm weather this weekend. Yahoo.... Mom and I visited the Warwick Park and French Creek park on Saturday. I liked going in the water after Mom threw a stick in the lake on my long leash. Klea came over on Sunday and we played in the backyard. Mom got the wading pool out too and cooled us off. I had a fun weekend and then Day care tomorrow. I love all the activities.

Rainy Weekend in Poconos March 13-15

Our last weekend in Poconos was rainy and there was still snow on the ground. A lazy weekend - watching videos, watching the fire and sleep. Mom and I walked to the lake which was partially frozen and the playground was fun. See my warm coat. I look good.

I am tired of snow and the cold weather. Khlea and I wore our nice coats and really looked great. The other dogs in our neighborhood were jealous. I am gaining weight because I am getting very little exercise. We couldn't go to Day care this week. I miss my friends there.

Old mom bought me a new leather collar that is 2" wide and has my name on it so she won't call me the wrong name and it is really tough looking. I scare people just because of it and my prong collar. I still like my soft afghan even though I am a tough guy.

I barked at the vet last night and had to be muzzled to get my kennel cough shot. Maybe I would like her if she didn't always give me a needle in the neck. Oh well mom still loves me so that is all that matters. Take a look at my blingy collar.

A LONG WEEK

I had an exhausting week. I went on a walk around a strip mall on Main Street Exton and near the WaWa and also visited my favorite Petco and got treats from the register people. Then Khlea and I went to Day Care at Toby's K9 kamp and also training there. I am really tired today. Old Mom had to drag me out of bed today so she could go to work. All I want to do is sleep so Khlea better be good and quiet or I will have to let her know who is the pack leader.

I am a grumpy old boy when I am tired. No playing with tug toys or loud barking.

EXCITING WEEKEND IN THE POCONOS

Long weekend with old mom in Poconos. Our new dishwasher was delivered and I got tied outside so the workman could do his work in the kitchen. I got the patio door open and went inside and scared the workman and he hid behind the dishwasher. It was so funny that I just stared at him and didn't growl. He was yelling for old mom to come get me. Now guess what - I am locked outside and can't get the door open. It was so funny - a grown man scared of me!!!

I am so bad.....Then later we went on a walk and a little cocker spaniel dog(like the one above) came running at me and the owner went crazy because the dog wouldn't come to her and she couldn't get the dog to behave. I actually didn't even realize what was happenning because old mom was hiding my face in her legs and doing a body block so I wouldn't see the dog. I wasn't barking or acting mean at all until that little dog growled at me and then I growled back. I wish people would tie up their dogs or at least be able to control them.

I was on my leash and behaving and the other owner was not following the rules.
What's a dog to do.... when other dogs growl in their faces...

I also got in the trash which I never do at home but old mom left the lid loose and I opened the door so I figured - why not the trash can? Mom didn't like me doing that and she smacked me on my butt. I guess she was mad. We are friends again.

I HATE COLD WEATHER

Khlea and I love to play in the backyard but when we want in we scratch at the back door. Mom got new flannel sheets and they are warm. Our muddy little feet leave muddy marks all over the hard wood floors. We also love pupparoni - it is similar to pepperoni. Day Care tomorrow and class- tomorrow night. Maybe tonight we will go to Concord pet Store in West Chester. Field trip Yeah!!!!

I have been a busy dog after Christmas. A walk with my sisters on the Struble Trail with Khlea and Dexter. ( my dog buddies) A trip to the Poconos for a week with my two moms and Khlea and some cold walks wearing my new coat. I am a lucky dog and have everything I want. A warm coat, 2 loving moms and a nice home with food and a place to sleep. I guess - I am luckier than some people in our country.

ON CAT DUTY

Do the cats think I am blind? If I can watch a squirrel up in a tree and see them go from branch to branch and chase after them, I can see a cat on the furniture in some plants. A NEW KONG WUBBA TOY

I have never enjoyed a toy as much as this Kung Wubba purple squeaky toy. It smelled like beef and just got me all excited and hyperactive. I was so exhausted after playing with it that Mom was worried I was hyper-ventilating.... She almost stuck me head in a paperbag. I panted and stuck my tongue out and was breathing heavy. I really looked funny!

STRUBLE TRAIL WALK

I walked on Struble Trail with my young mom, sister, old mom and Khlea. Not too many walkers out because Santa was arriving in Downingtown and they were at the parade. It was sunny kinda warm day. I did 9000 steps almost 10000. Drank some cold water out of Creek and saw some geese.

PUT THE CHRISTMAS TREE UP AND OUR FIRST SNOW

Khlea and I helped our old mom, young mom and sister put up the artificial tree. We helped by taking the ornaments to them. The lights make it look so pretty. The snow was scary and so cold. Khlea and I got all wet and muddy in the back yard. Khlea was scared of the tree and of the snow. It was her first. I loved to eat the snow- it was fun. Mom took me to Petco and got a new toy. A big red ball with a rope on it.

THANKSGIVING & POCONOS WEEKEND TRIP

I had some turkey and stuffing for Thanksgiving- I stole it off Mom's plate. I didn't like the cranberry sauce- Yuck. Took a walk at a school when a football game was starting.

Saturday - Mom and I left for the Poconos- we watched alot of videos and chilled in front of fire.

I saw a herd of deer walk down our street - I was looking out our front window. Took a walk and saw some squirrles too. I am rested and ready to play with Khlea again. I miss her when I am away.

Khlea and I no longer have to be tethered by chains in our backyard. We have a fenced in yard We run full speed to our favorite spot in the yard where our squirrel friend is always up in the tree. WEEKEND WALKS IN THE RAIN AND THE SUN

Mom and I took long walks this weekend. We crossed over Rte 100 - very scary and walked to Whitford Road passing many cars and some people. I did my " King of the Rock" trick and then on Sunday, we had a great walk on the trail they are working on in East Whiteland. We saw a real deer that crossed in front of us and I nearly ran with the deer again. We got muddy and had fun. Mom says " a tired dog is a happy dog". I say "I am happy already" Enjoy the photos.

BUILDING A FENCE

My old mom is having a fence built in the backyard for Klea and I. Then we can run around free without those damn chains. They are always getting tangled up and such a pain in the neck. ( If you get my drift) The permit from the township was torn up and chewed on by Klea. It looks funny hanging on the porch. Duct tape was hangin out of Klea's mouth- stuck to her jaw. Mom had to pull it off. Of course I didn't touch it- it was Khlea.... Bad girl....

Khlea got loose this morning also and mom had to chase her over the neighborhood- she had bare feet and shorts on and her hair was all wacky but she caught Khlea and tied her up. Once again. Bad girl......Khlea is having a bad day....

Sunday, Khlea was quiet again and guess what she was chewing on again? 2 guesses and the first two do not count. My mom nailed the permit for the fence up higher and Khlea jumped up and got it and chew it in a handful of pieces. There is not enough of it left to tape together and hang. Mom will have to go get another copy.

Khlea is having a bad weekend. I distracted mom by kissing her on her face and Khlea went to another room in the house. I am trying to keep the peace... but it is a tough job

Ace and Klea go to dog parks together, play out in back yard, nap together, fight over toys, play tug of war with the rope toy or sometimes just a stick and compete for attention from their 2 moms. This is all typical of siblings even though they are not related - they act like they are sister and brother. Ace loves squirrels and barks at them- Klea loves to bark when Ace is barking so it is noisy many times. The water bottle or bad dog spray comes in handy when they are really fighting with each other. Ace hates it and backs off- Klea barks at the bottle and wants me to spray her in her mouth. They are so different in personalities. very interesting to watch.

I didn't realize I could hurt myself by playing with my sister or my friends but must have. My back leg has been bothering me for almost a week now. It is hard to run on three legs. I am on a drug that calms me down and I sleep alot. I can't go to day care or the dog park- how boring!

My moms have their hands full with both of us. I am 14 months old and Clea is 5 months old and we both are full of energy. We love to chew on our toys, go outside and eat sticks or dig in the backyard, FIGHT and bite each other, EAT and bite each other, pull on the leash and bite each other. There seems to be a common thread here- we love to bite each other and play rough. The Bad dog spray or water stops us temporarily but not for long. I am tired all the time trying to keep up with Clea. She is a busy busy puppy.
I am at doggy day care today for some MY time away from Clea.

I will play with the BIG DOGS and do mature things.

I have a friend now to play with and it is fun most of the time. At dinners, we fight because we both like to eat but most of the time we play nicely and don't get sprayed by mom and the "the bad dog spray" or the hose.
